A Cornwall native, Raymond joined the River Institute in 1998 after completing a program in environmental studies and earning a Diploma as a Certified Environmental Technician.

His principal duties revolve around a variety of water testing activities.  He oversees the daily activities of the testing laboratory which includes supervising visiting Co-op students.
