This year’s conference follows up on the
theme of source water protection discussed with great interest
and vigor last year. The conference will highlight progress
since that time on source water protection: from recent
legislation and planning to the challenges for implementation to
be faced now and into the future.
Source Water Protection is defined as plans
and actions taken to secure the integrity of streams, rivers,
lakes, or underground aquifers used to supply private wells and
public drinking water. The conference will provide an excellent
venue to exchange and gather information on the latest in
research and policy and the issues faced by agencies and
governments.
As always, the conference sessions invites
presentations on diverse research topics related to the St.
Lawrence River/Great Lakes system. All are welcome to
participate in what promises to be a timely and valuable meeting
to share knowledge on our valuable water resources.
