The St. Lawrence River Institute of Environmental Sciences was
conceived and built on a foundation of research and education.
Research continues to be the driving force of the River Institute,
from which educational programs and community activities evolve. A
new research facility and accredited laboratory located on the banks
of the St. Lawrence River attract visiting scientists from around
the globe. State-of-the-art analytical equipment allows for
innovative and progressive research options. The research
scientists, projects, and outcomes from the River Institute
have solidified its reputation as a quality institution in the world
of environmental and ecological research.
