The St. Lawrence River
The St. Lawrence River is one of the largest and greatest rivers in world. It carries water from the Great Lakes past and through New York State and the Canadian Provinces of Ontario and Québec to the Atlantic Ocean. Legends have been created here along with stories of exploration and conflict that have shaped the course of history for the nations who peacefully share the river today. In addition to its natural importance and rich history, millions of people live, work and play on its shores.
